The blog post also mentioned about Coinbase’s major global expansion of including 50 more countries such as Brazil, Taiwan, South Africa. Currently, Coinbase offers services in 103 countries and believes that the move to expand across other countries will accelerate the adoption of crypto globally.

Coinbase had listed USD Coin in October last year for the United States customers in selected jurisdictions. USD Coin is the first stablecoin to be listed on the exchange for trading. With USDC,  Coinbase wants to aid the countries with high inflation rate by improving the standard of living. The blog post further added that being a stablecoin USDC will protect against high inflation in countries like  Uzbekistan and Argentina where prices are estimated to inflate by 10-20% in 2020.
