Waste Permit Portal Based On The Blockchain To Be Launched in UAE

The UAE is set to witness its first waste permit portal based on the blockchain in Sharjah, according to a latest blockchain news source. The platform shall reportedly use blockchain technology to store, process and validate transactions.

This portal shall be developed in collaboration with Bee’ah, an environmental, recycling and waste management company, as well as the  Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA).

Apparently, due to the streamlined and autonomous nature of the blockchain, customer applying for  permits within HFZA shall see significant cost savings, The process of issuing permits too shall become more efficacious and efficient. An official statement highlights that “all transactions are completely secured, essentially eliminating any human error or fraud.”

Furthermore, the CEO f Bee’ah, Khaled Al Huraimel,  stated that the blockchain shall enable seamless operations and the trust between operators and customers shall also be increased.

This is in line with UAE’s rapid adoption of new and promising technologies. UAE’s innate ability to tap into promising technologies has helped it shape some of the most cutting edge sprawling metropolitan cities in the world.

The deployment of blockchain technology in Sharjah sets a precedent for other countries across the world.  The technology is still in its initial stages and is witnessing several newfangled developments and innovations that shall take it to new heights.
